A Balanced, Faith-Based Early Learning Program

At PLS Academy, our curriculum is rooted in a whole-child philosophy: spiritual growth, academic readiness, emotional intelligence, social development, and physical health. We blend Montessori methods (child-led, hands-on exploration), Traditional learning structures (teacher-guided instruction), and Biblical principles to create a loving, faith-filled environment where children flourish.

Infant • 6–18 months

A cozy, responsive nursery where bonding, safety, and sensory exploration build secure foundations. Gentle routines, tummy time, music, and storytelling nurture the earliest milestones.

  • Sensory + fine‑motor activities

Our infant program focuses on nurturing emotional security and sensory discovery. Babies are cared for in a peaceful, responsive environment where they begin to explore the world through touch, sound, and movement. Early spiritual exposure includes gentle prayers and soft worship music. Language development is encouraged through simple words and sign language, while motor skills are supported through tummy time, reaching, and supported crawling.

Toddler • 18–36 months

Busy bees learn independence, language, and social skills through movement, music, and hands‑on play. Gentle guidance supports sharing, kindness, and routines.

  • Potty‑training partnership
  • Language & movement rich days
  • Parallel → cooperative play

At this stage, children begin building independence and language through play, imitation, and movement. They participate in daily prayer, Christian songs, and story time. Language development is fostered through naming objects and using basic phrases. Practical life skills such as feeding themselves and washing hands are introduced, along with early exposure to sorting, shapes, and creative activities like painting and music.

Preschool • 3–4 years

Curiosity drives early academics across literacy, numeracy, science, and art. Hands‑on materials and learning centers fuel problem‑solving, creativity, and confidence.

  • Phonics & early math games
  • Science, art, and nature study
  • Daily outdoor play

Preschoolers thrive in a balanced environment that fosters curiosity, faith, and foundational academics. Bible-based character themes and daily devotionals help guide moral growth. Children engage in early reading and math through letter recognition, counting, and sorting. Practical life skills like cleaning, dressing, and serving are encouraged alongside creative play, science exploration, and outdoor learning to support whole-child development.

Kindergarten Readiness • 4–6 years

Structured, joyful prep for school success: pre‑reading, number sense, handwriting, and social skills—plus leadership, service, and chapel connections.

  • Small‑group instruction
  • Readiness benchmarks & parent updates
  • Confidence‑building routines

In Pre-K, children focus on kindergarten readiness, leadership, and growing in faith. They explore Bible stories, lead prayer, and develop skills in reading, writing, math, and handwriting. Montessori tools and STEM activities encourage hands-on learning, while art, music, and physical play build creativity and coordination. Social skills like teamwork, public speaking, and conflict resolution are also emphasized.
